GLOWHER Collective Lab Operations Manager (2024-2025)
Sanjana Murthy recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Biology and BA in Anthropology. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and plans to attend medical school in fall of 2026. She looks forward to continue to do public health research, especially among underserved populations. Over her years working with the GLOWHER Collective, she has worked on various projects investigating menstrual practices and traditions based in Nepal, India, and the USA. Sanjana is also an avid nature lover, enjoys hiking, is rekindling her love for reading, and hopes to one day travel the world!

Originally from Lansdale, Pennsylvania Brigit is an undergraduate student majoring in Neuroscience and Sociology. In GLOWHER, she is working on the Art Heals study, which explores the function of community art efforts and the effects these initiatives have on mental health in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic in Pittsburgh. She is also involved in a Human Centered Design project that aims to develop interventions to address menstrual practices in Nepal. Brigit hopes to attend medical school in the future and is interested in community health, pediatric care, and women’s health. In her free time, Brigit loves reading, cooking, and learning to crochet!
Brigit Joseph
Korrina is a recent Pitt graduate from Fairfax, Virginia. She graduated with a major in Neuroscience, minors in Sociology & Chemistry, and certificates in Global Health & Conceptual Foundations of Medicine. She is currently attending medical school at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Over the years, she has contributed to numerous projects in GLOWHER (she was our very first member!), including a Collaborative Filmmaking study on menstrual practices in Nepali communities, and a human centered design study in Ethiopia among internally displaced persons. Currently, she is working on the Art Heals Pittsburgh study. In her spare time, Korrina loves to play the piano, hike, travel, and explore new cuisines and cultures!
Korrina Gidwani
Megan Rabin recently graduated with a MPH in Behavioral and Community Health Science and Global Health. She is originally from West Chester, Pennsylvania, and she has a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Northeastern University. Megan is currently involved in a GLOWHER study focused on using human-centered design to develop community-centered solutions to menstrual health disparities in Nepal. In addition, she is currently conducting independent research in Nepal, where she is exploring the feasibility of a social media intervention for Nepali menstruators. Megan’s goal is to pursue a PhD and a career in women’s and global health research. In her free time, she enjoys walking dogs, yoga, and puzzling.
Megan Rabin
Tatiana Matuszewski is from Burlington, New Jersey, and is an undergraduate student majoring in Biological Sciences, minoring in Chemistry, and pursuing a certificate in Global Health. Her future plans include attending Emory University as an MPH candidate in Behavioral, Social, and Health Educations Sciences. She is involved in research titled Using the Power of Film and Participatory Research for Menstrual Policy Action in Nepal for the Dignity Without Danger project as a qualitative data analyst. Her hobbies include playing volleyball, watching movies, and traveling!
Tatiana Matuszewski
Noelle Elizabeth Spencer, MSc is passionate about health equity, with much of her work centering on the health experiences of marginalized populations with a focus on reproductive health and menstruation. Her background includes extensive experience with health equity research, teaching, facilitation, mentorship, and project management. She earned her BA in Gender and Sexuality Studies from Brown University and MSc in Gender, Policy and Inequalities at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Behavioral and Community Health Sciences with a focus on menstrual equity and period poverty.

Isabella Wegner is from Allentown, Pennsylvania and completed her undergraduate degree in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies at Pitt. She attends Columbia University’s graduate program for public health, specializing in maternal and child health. Izzy is passionate about women’s health and hopes to make a career out of it. Currently, she is working on a project dealing with menstrual practices of Nepali women in the United States as well as a project looking at the mental health of artists in Pittsburgh during Covid. In her free time, she enjoys listening to audiobooks, baking, and sewing.
Isabella Wegner
GLOWHER Collective Lab Operations Manager (2025-2026)
Sriya Josyula is a recent graduate from the University of Pittsburgh where she studied Public Health with a Bioethics certificate. As an active member of GLOWHER, she has contributed to many projects regarding menstrual inequity, collaborative filmmaking around the world, and stress. She is currently a research assistant for the CAPTURE project. Sriya plans to go to PA school, and hopes to apply her public health research experience in a clinical setting. Her research interests include human flourishing, health policy, and cultural competency in healthcare training. In her free time, Sriya likes to try new restaurants, craft, and go thrifting. She is also passionate about Indian classical arts, as an avid dancer and Veena player.

Grace Checo is finishing up her MPH in Infectious Disease Management, Intervention, and Community Practice and Certificate in Global Health from the University of Pittsburgh. She is passionate about using the arts in scientific research and is currently assisting on a collaborative filmmaking project exploring grief experiences in palliative care. Outside of school Grace works as a Clinical Research Coordinator at Emory’s Trauma Center and is an Intelligence Analyst in the Georgia Army National Guard. Her hobbies include playing violin, weightlifting, eating desserts, and enjoying fellowship with friends and family.
